Before the winds swept this earth,
Or the tides hit the shores,
Before the rains gently caressed,
And before the trees took their stand,
Or all the animals covered the land,
My love for you was there,
Even before my love,

I believe it is every woman’s secret desire to have a love poem written for her with such an all encompassing passion, as this. It is an eternal love expressed here-that is what makes it such a beautiful poem… the timelessness, the enduring quality. But instead or referring to the future like most would, you talk about how your love was present before creation itself. ..kind of ties the human condition for centuries together-the love between a man and a woman having a mysterious, transcendent quality. I loved this, to be sure.
