Darkness unfolds Light

Loneliness will conceal and obscure its self,

In the impoverished emotions of my love,
Sadden at the moment of its birth,

It lays deathless in a state of confusion,
Longing for its self existence,

Yet wanting death to be its just reward,

It lives well and survives,
Only to find that more often then not,

Even thru the unaffected Life in which beholds it,

As the wings of life unfold,

         From the darkness within,

They seem to cast off its shadows of an unwanted emotion,

From the thoughts of my past made present,
Merely to find that it stands out,

Within the light of your attendance,
As well as in the darkness of my cultural ties,
Ever embracing whispers from the clouds of my mind ,
I hear and I cherish every sigh,

         So expertly given,

So encompassing,

         So alive,

Your words are sounds of just emotions,

Falling back upon ears that turned away,
Only to hear what was said,
You have caressed me so divinely,
I feel your presence,

In the depths of my being and long for more,
Please never deny me,
Existing through all realms, traipsing, delicately,
Unbeknownst to limitations and boundaries,

Initially I participate,

In this emotion with no fear,

Though my mind takes over,

With bouts of fear driven energy,
Bursting and emanating from all that I’m made up of,
             Collectively so to speak,

And in the end,

             I escape this madness,

Being locked inside,

My dark uncertainty of loves remains,
I’m at peace, though feeling vacant,

As though I missed out on a significant opportunity,

To understand,

Something of the supernatural sense of your love,

Sweet lady you have touched me,

With your love and its penetrating reach,

There is light in my darkness,

             As faint as it is,

It’s brighter than any others glow,

That has reached my heart of darkness,

This is a magnificent write.. thick description and deeply touching.. I wonder if it would be useful (always the author’s discretion) If you broke the stanzas up a bit more as the rhyme is there.. a wonderful flow would reveal itself ..Just a thought…Fantastic piece

So beautifully written. I am glad you have found such a soulmate. Truly am.
your love poems are my favorite because of the vulnerability and purity of emotions.

I think the most penetrating, or impressionistic part for me, was when Death be told be ur reward, very dark, eerie, and enchanting, —mishel

Its an impressive write…i loved these lines the most:

“As the wings of life unfold, from the darkness within
They seem to cast off its shadows of an unwanted emotion
From the thoughts of my past made present.”

Hope and light and love are all so perfectly interwoven in the fabric of a life to offset that darkness that attends us all. You’ve written it perfectly. May the love you feel in your heart be returned to you in kind.
